Responsibilities:
Supervises and supports a team of artists with ultimate responsibility.
Establishes visual direction and production standards for Bonzoid Studios.
Presents concepts and ideas to studio management and publishers.
Writes and assists with management of project schedules and resource planning.
Conducts regular critiques with clear and consistent direction to art team.
Demonstrates high creativity and originality in treatments of licensed IP within guides.
Flexibility to wear multiple hats and self-starting drive to help form a new studio.
Requirements:
Experience with various levels of art direction responsibility on at least 3 successful game titles.
Passion and desire to create games with personality, including a rich and distinctive look.
Desire to create games for a variety of ages and backgrounds.
Capable of recommending art-specific tools to enhance or control visual aspects of game.
Excellent presentation skills.
Portfolio must demonstrate composition, color, light, motion, and breadth of styles.
Interest and desire to participate in the game design and maximizing game usability.
Preference to applicants with:
Passion for classic 'retro' games (Atari 800, C64, Apple II).
Desire for freedom to use fresh artistic and gameplay elements.
Interest in acquiring equity and helping build Bonzoid Studios.
Shipped Xbox or other console titles.
Experience on both 2D and pre-rendered 3D games.
Torque or Torque Game Builder experience.
